UCLA Athletic Performance Internship Summer-Fall 2023

The University of California, Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Performance Intern with Olympic Sports. The Winter-Spring internship will run from June-December 2023. Duties include assisting the full-time Athletic Performance coaching staff in all aspects of UCLA Athletic Performance program including but not limited to warm-ups, strength and speed training, conditioning, and athlete assessment, as well as participation in our educational curriculum.

These positions are for VOLUNTEER coaches, compensation will not be provided including parking/transportation costs. Screening of applications has started and will continue until all positions are filled.

Minimum requirements include, a bachelor’s degree or a degree in progress in an exercise science related field, CPR/AED certified, and a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Effective August 1st, 2015, NCAA legislation mandates that only certified personnel can coach athletes unsupervised, therefore, CSCS or CSCCA certification is preferred. Upon selection, UCLA Athletics will issue and require completion of Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) Mandatory Reporter training.
