About The Role
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement evidence-based strength and conditioning programs for all NDS players in accordance to their physical needs.
- Establish specific and measurable physical goals for all athletes in light of the technical, tactical, psychological and physical demand of the sport.
- Undertake physical testing of athletes and archive results in accordance with the NDS testing battery.
- Manage the collation of current and relevant strength and conditioning physical profiling / management information within TA’s Athlete Database System.
- Collaborate with all relevant TA and NTA stakeholders, and ensure accurate and timely communication of strength and conditioning program directions and rationale to all key stakeholders.
- Be available to deliver and support TA player development initiatives and assist In the delivery of relevant content of specific TA Coaching Courses when required.
About You
What you will bring to the role:
- Previous experience in the provision of strength and conditioning services across a range of sports which includes national teams and their athletes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Sport Science, Human Movement and/or equivalent degree (essential).
- Level 2 National Coaching Accreditation Scheme qualifications in Strength & Conditioning (or equivalent ESSA) or willingness and ability to acquire (essential).
- Experience working in elite tennis (highly regarded).
- Advanced Anatomical Knowledge and ability to apply this in a practical setting.
- Excellent coaching skills with the ability to build great relationships.
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
