
Men and Women’s First Team Goalkeeper Coach
Job Description
A football club in Iceland is looking to add a full-time Goalkeeper Coach for the men’s and women’s first team immediately.
Throttur Reykjavik is based in the centre of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland and boasts one of the biggest youth programs in the country. The women’s team are an established top tier team with the men’s team competing in the second tier. The successful candidate would get the chance to work with full and youth internationals from the club with their main objective to help improve the quality of coaching delivered within the club to goalkeepers.
This job is ideal for an ambitious candidate looking to get involved in first team football at the highest level in Iceland.
Candidate’s roles and responsibilities for both men and women’s first team:
- Coach first team goalkeepers and help with the transitioning of youth goalkeepers to first team
- Assist the head and assistant coaches from the men’s and women’s teams in sessions
- Attend all men and women’s training sessions
- Attend all men and women’s games
- Provide analysis to the first team goalkeepers on their performance
- Work with goalkeepers in providing an Individual Development Plan
- Additional duties as deemed necessary by the head coaches / club
Essential Requirements:
- Must hold a UEFA B Goalkeeping or higher
- Clean Criminal Record
- Must be able to communicate in English at a good level
Desirable Requirements:
- UEFA B outfield
- A Bachelor’s degree in the sport and exercise field
- To have worked with men and women
- To have worked in a full-time position
- EU Passport (Schengen)
- Driving License
Contract:
- Salary (non-negotiable) 380.ISK (€2500) per month before tax.
- Start as soon as possible until the end of the 2024 season (October).
- Club would provide a car.
- Club would aid in finding suitable accommodation.
