Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach – Football

Summary

The general purpose of this position is to design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for football student-athletes and teach and educate student-athletes.

Essential Functions

Assist in the teaching and educating of student-athletes in physical strength and conditioning techniques

Assist in the design and implementation of strength training and conditioning programs for football program

Assist with workout design and implementation for additional Olympic sports assignments under the direct supervision of the Director of Strength and Conditioning

Assist the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach with all aspects of program administration.

Directly supervise and train interns/practicum students

Coordinate training facility cleaning and maintenance of equipment

Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

The following Degree is required :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.

The following Degree is preferred :

  • Master’s Degree

The following Experience is required :

  • 1 year of experience in a NCAA member strength & conditioning program working with athletes

The following licenses, certifications, or registrations is required :

  • Certified by the National Strength & Conditioning Association or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association
    • You must possess this certification to be considered for this position. Please ensure the certification is documented on your official application and the proof is  uploaded  with your submission.
  • Documented CPR and AED certifications
    • Can be obtained upon hiring

Additional Information

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to work in the collegiate setting with collegiate athletes, coaches, and other athletic department staff
  • Applicant must exhibit ability to instruct, supervise, and demonstrate associated exercises in a weightlifting based training environment
  • Successful candidate must display competency to coordinate with the Asst. Director of Strength & Conditioning for Football and the Football Athletic Trainers regarding certain biomechanical assessments as well as implementation of the return to play protocols for athletes returning from injury
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage groups of wide varieties of people with broad backgrounds and experiences

Essential Requirement: Work Authorization

Licenciado en Actividad Física (Universidad del Salvador) y Especialista en Fisiología del Ejercicio (Universidad Nacional de La Plata). Cuenta con dos maestrías internacionales: MSc. Strength and Conditioning (University of Greenwich) y MSc. Complex Systems in Sports (Universitat de Barcelona).

Está certificado por la National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) como Certified Performance and Sports Scientist (CPSS), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) y Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). Además, se desempeña como docente en la Universidad del Salvador.

Actualmente es CEO de Comunidad LIFT y NSCA Manager LATAM, liderando proyectos de formación y desarrollo profesional en ciencias del deporte. También se desempeña como Director of Data Science & Performance Innovation en Utah Soccer (Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals y Real Monarchs), donde lidera la estrategia de innovación, análisis de datos y sistemas de rendimiento a nivel organizacional.

Ha ocupado roles destacados como Coordinador de Rendimiento en la Selección Mexicana de Fútbol y Sports Scientist en HUDL, integrando ciencia aplicada, tecnología y metodología contemporánea en el alto rendimiento.
