Athletic Trainer

Job Description

We’re looking for a true pro to join our organization to help keep our athletes healthy for competition and life. The Bay Area Panthers of the Indoor Football League trains in Morgan Hill with the home games at the SAP Center in San Jose.

Responsibilities

  • Daily game and work out coverage including pre/post treatment and field set up
  • Daily communication of player health status with medical/field staff
  • Monitoring and execution of medical department protocols, policies, and philosophies
  • Collaboration with strength and conditioning coaches to implement organizational programs and communicate player status
  • Work closely with appropriate medical personnel who provide medical care and treatment of athletic related injuries
  • Create injury management plans that may include, but is not limited to: doctor visits, x-rays/scans, medical exams/studies, rehabilitation programs, and/or surgery for injured student-athletes
  •  Act as onsite emergency care representative at team practices and games

·reports, medical records, medical clearances, and sports medicine policy, procedure, & protocols

 

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • NATA-BOC ATC in good standing
  • CPR/AED Certification
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • CSCS certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
